When you order books, CDs, videos or other stuff via BBHQ, your purchase
will usually go through Amazon.com. They offer great prices; you pay a
shipping charge, but no sales tax (in most cases). It's easy, it's fast;
it's secure. And yes, we do get a teeny, weenie commission. This is how you help us maintain and improve BBHQ. We do a little better if you choose a book, CD, or video that we feature on our site (options 1-3, below). But even if you choose option 4, you'll help us pay the bills. 1. Click here to look for a CD in our collection from the boomer period (late 50s, 60s, or early 70s). 2. Click here to look for a best seller, or book in our library of interest to boomers. Or see our "short list" below. 3. Click one of the videos (below). 4. Or, use the search box at the right to search directly at Amazon.com. Click the down arrow to reveal a drop-down box and select from oodles of product categories: books, music, electonics, apparel, software.... just to name a few. In the "keyword" box, enter a key word or two that identifies what you are looking for. Then, click the "GO" button. That will open a new browser window enabling you to surf the Amazon.com web site. Click the video, and you're half-way there
Amazon.com is the largest book, music, and video store in the world. (Yes, bigger than Barnes & Noble, Borders... or any of those.) They sell exclusively online, via the Internet. Amazon.com has been around for a while; they are reliable and secure, and they offer prices as good as (and usually better than) you will find anywhere else. (If you ever have any trouble with purchases made at Amazon.com, you can contact us; we'll make it right. But we're not worried; we order from them all the time.)
| The BBHQ Album of the Month is "Old Friends Live on Stage (Deluxe Edition) (2 CD/1 DVD)," by Simon & Garfunkel. If you were fortunate enough to see them in concert last year, I do not have to sell you. The concert was terrific! This album collection includes 55 songs, plus their new recording, "Citizen of the Planet," and one of the songs sung by the Everly Brothers during the concert. The DVD was recorded during their concert in Madison Square Garden in 2003. For any S&G fan, this is a must have! But then, you knew that already, didn't you? |

The BBHQ Book of the Month is
"Vinyl Highway," by
Dee Dee Phelps. You remember her as Dee Dee, of Dick and Dee Dee.
Together, they took a decade long ride on the rock and roll roller
coaster. It was a heck of a ride! Dick Clark, Quincy Jones, the Beach
Boys, Glenn Campbell, Dionne Warwick, Bobby Vinton... Dick and Dee Dee
rubbed shoulders with all of them. This is her "behind the scenes" story.
It's pretty cool.
