| Well, it happened again. I wrote about it passionately in our Midlife Crisis series. But it has happened once again. I've been dumped. And no... it does not get any easier as you get older... not the third or the fourth, or the fifth time. It is every bit as painful this time as it was the others; perhaps more so. I'm not as buoyant as I used to be. I do not have the emotional energy that I did when I was 25. Oh, perhaps you have the wrong idea here. I'm not talking about the woman of my dreams, the elusive butterfly of love, the love life of my libido. I'm talking about my hair stylist. She done ripped my heart out and stomped that sucker flat. Again. For the sake of those of you in a comfortable, long-term, monogamous relationship with your stylist, to help you understand my despair, here are a few of the places I have rejected, merely because of their listing in the telephone book: K-Mart: hair styling and special handling - I don't think so. Have you ever seen Martha Stewart having her hair done at K-Mart? No; not going to happen. Never! Not Martha; not I. Victorian Angel Hair Salon: Hair design, manicures, facials, pedicures, waxing, relaxers - Thanks, but I want a haircut, not plastic surgery.

| The BBHQ Feature Album is "Old Friends Live on Stage (Deluxe Edition) (2 CD/1 DVD)," by Simon & Garfunkel. If you were fortunate enough to see them in concert in 2003, I do not have to sell you. The concert was terrific! This album collection includes 55 songs, plus their new recording, "Citizen of the Planet," and one of the songs sung by the Everly Brothers during the concert. The DVD was recorded during their concert in Madison Square Garden in 2003. For any S&G fan, this is a must have! But then, you knew that already, didn't you? |

The BBHQ Feature Book is
"The 5000 Year Leap," by
W. Cleon Skousen. The title does not
adequately identify the content, though the concept of the 5,000 year
leap is astounding. The subtitle, Principles of Freedom 101, is
much more applicable to the subject. This book carefully and clearly
summarizes the thinking of the brilliant founding fathers of our country,
the ideas behind the "miracle that changed the world."
