My analysis and recommendations on health care not do not consist of tinkering with the system, or just pouring money into it, as others have done. But I am not going to suggest that we rip apart the best health care system in the world and start from scratch. Instead, I am going to challenge some of the basic foundations of the health care industry in the U.S., and try to spark a debate on how to make it work better.

Let me start, though, by knocking down one of the primary attacks on our health care system. We do not have a "health care crisis" in the U.S. We have the best health care in the world. If enough of you challenge that premise, I may present my case sometime down the road. But when you analyze the facts and the reality, the conclusion is inescapable. What our country has done with health care in the past century is stunning... bordering on miraculous... and unmatched anywhere in the world! Taken as a whole, the health care we provide to our citizens is fabulous; it far surpasses any other country.

So, What's the Problem?

No, we do not have a health care crisis in America. Oh, we have problems; but we do not have a crisis. But what we do have for certain is a health care DELIVERY and ADMINISTRATION problem. The method by which health care services are delivered, administered, and paid for is inefficient, nonsensical, and cannot be sustained. So, I'll place the majority of my attention on that.
