Since he left Fox News in 2011, Glenn Beck has gone beneath the radar.
In addition to his radio show, he is running an Internet-based series of
programs. But at this stage, his audience is extremely small.
I like Glenn because he is at neither end of the political spectrum.
(Though he is clearly an opponent of big, uncontrolled government and
reckless federal spending.) Beck fills his shows with facts, logic, and
reason... and a heck of a lot of goofy entertainment, too.
A while back, Glenn Beck delivered a monologue that sounded like he had
read our entire series of essays in the "Teach, Preach and Nag" section
(below). If you saw the show, it is worth a repeat here. If you did not,
sit back and read carefully. This is terrific!

In today's America, you don't actually have to do anything to become
famous. No.
You don't have to study; you don't have to go to work; or become an
expert on anything.
You don't even have to build anything of value... ever!
All you have to do in America today is walk around in a short skirt with
no underpants on, and flash your daisy. That's it!
And if that doesn't work, get a job in a bar, wait for an old man to wheel
in, flirt with him till he buys you a new set of.... you know. And then
become a drug-addled loser, die, and and have the entire world celebrate
you.
The only thing in life that is truly valuable is our our family, our
word, and our honor.
Unfortunately, these things no longer have value in America.
We're not passing that lesson on to our kids. We're too busy giving kids
prizes for punctuality.
